The event saw the attendance of Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army; leaders and delegates of agencies, units, academies in the whole army, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; as well as nearly 900 officers, youth union members of the Military Technical Academy (MTA), and medical staff of Military Central Hospital 108.

Speaking at the event, General Phuong acknowledged and hailed the utmost efforts of the academies, Military Medical Departments, and military hospitals in disseminating information about the blood donation movement.

He also expressed his belief that together with youth throughout the country, military youth union members will always respond well to blood donation movements.

Moreover, General Phuong asked the Military Youth Board to work with the Military Medical Department (under the General Department of Politics) and other relevant agencies and units to promote blood donation movements and honor outstanding individuals and groups.

After the event, Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong, Deputy Chief of the Military Youth Board, and over 700 officers, youth member unions donated 630 units of blood.
