2021 blood donation campaign launched in HCM City
PANO - The Ho Chi Minh City chapter of the Vietnamese Red Cross Society in association with relevant agencies launched a voluntary blood donation campaign on January 23 to ensure that there are no blood shortage in the city’s hospitals during the upcoming Tet (lunar New Year) holidays.
Reportedly, the city’s chapter of the Vietnamese Red Cross Society has mobilized over 215,000 participating people for the campaign and collected 279,000 blood units.

This year, the campaign is expected to mobilize three percent of the city’s population to join the event and collect 220,000 units of blood overall.
The information dissemination programs for the voluntary blood donation campaign will be accelerated in all localities of the city.
