In this year’s Army Games chaired by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Artillery Team of the Vietnam People’s Army will compete in the “Master of Artillery Fire” contest which includes three stages: ‘Individual Race,’ ‘Night Sprint,’ and ‘Relay.’
According to the regulations of the contest, in a distance of 4km, participating crews have to open fire at targets.
After four months of hard training and with high determination and great efforts to overcome difficulties, all members of the Artillery Team have reaped remarkable results with much improvement in their professional expertise.
In the shooting test, gun batteries hit all targets right from the first salvoes, well completing all examination contents.
Directly directing the live-five test, Major General Nguyen Hong Phong asked the team to continue to embrace directives on the team’s training and competition issued by the Minister of National Defense and the Artillery Corps’ Commander.
General Phong urged them to further practice in a serious and close manner to hone their shooting skills and master the equipped weaponry.
