Army Corps 12 asked to promote heroic traditions

The event was attended by Major General Nguyen Van Gau, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politic Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia stressed that Army Corps 12 has brought into play the heroic traditions of Truong Son troops and overcome hardships to build the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail. Over the past years, the corps maintained its role in the areas where its affiliated units are stationed, especially in remote and mountainous areas, he added. The official applauded the corps’ achievements while asking them to promote traditions and achieved results, and map out master plan for the future. He noted that the corps should show its professionalism when implementing construction projects.

Talking to the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Traditional Association, Nghia expressed his appreciation and pride of contribution of the Truong Son soldiers in the past. He hoped that the association will continue launching activities to educate youngsters of national traditions, take care of policy beneficiaries and build an increasingly firm association in the time to come.
