Winners of writing contest on Vietnam-Cambodia ties awarded
PANO - Winners of a writing contest on the 50-year relations between Vietnam and Cambodia were honored at a ceremony held by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and Cambodian Defense Ministry in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on March 22.
The contest, themed “Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia solidarity in combat”, was launched in 2017 in response to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations (1967-2017) and the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (1962-2017).

The awarding ceremony featured a musical show and the presentation of certificates of merit to winning contestants from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.
The Cambodian contestants earned five A prizes, 9 B prizes, 13 C prizes and 16 consolation prizes.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, praised the engagement of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in the contest, with 270 contestants with many high-quality entries.
