At the event, the two sides emphasized that over the years, the friendship and coordination between the Vietnamese Naval Region 5 Command and the Thai Naval Region 2 has been continuously consolidated and fruitfully developed.

The two navies have successfully carried out 46 joint patrols in the bordering waters. Since the 19th joint patrol, the two sides have coordinated to effectively conduct search and rescue drills.

Thanks to joint patrols, security, order, and stability in the bordering waters have been well maintained, contributing to creating favorable conditions for the two peoples to develop economy and strengthen cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the two navies.

The two sides agreed that in the coming time they will continue to fully and effectively carry out joint patrols in the bordering waters and exchange relevant information through the established communication channel; actively coordinate closely in handling cases arising at sea.
