Naval Senior Captain Trinh Xuan Tung recalls the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh at the event.

The event was attended by Vietnamese Consul General in Vladivostok city Nguyen Hoang Viet, representatives from the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Russia's Far East and overseas Vietnamese and students in Vladivostok.

In a solemn atmosphere, Naval Senior Captain Trinh Xuan Tung, Deputy Chief of Naval Region 4 and Head of the contingent recalled the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh. Tung said that during his 30-year journey to foreign countries to seek ways for national salvation, President Ho Chi Minh traveled to Vladivostok three times in 1924, 1927 and 1934. The Vietnamese great leader laid a firm foundation for the Vietnam-Russia traditional relationship, which has been nurtured by the two Parties, State, militaries and peoples of different generations.

Showing respect and gratitude to the late President, members of the Vietnamese Naval Contingent expressed their determination to fulfill external defense relations activities. They promised to enhance unity and achieve the best results at the upcoming “Sea Cup” event of the Army Games 2021 to affirm the capability of the Vietnamese naval troops.

* On the same day, the Vietnamese Naval Contingent’s representatives visited the Consulate General of Vietnam in Vladivostok.

At the event, Vietnamese Consul General Nguyen Hoang Viet expressed his delight at welcoming Vietnamese frigates to Vladivostok for the second time. Previously, Frigate 016-Quang Trung of the Vietnam People’s Navy came to Vladivostok to attend the Fleet Review in celebration of the 323rd anniversary of the foundation day of the Russian Navy in 2019.

The Vietnamese diplomat strongly believed that with capabilities, the Vietnamese team will obtain high results at the upcoming event.
