Vietnamese MND’s construction projects presented to Lao friends
PANO - On February 28, Defense Economic Unit 385, Army Corps 15, in coordination with the Lao authorities, handed over five repair construction projects to Vangtat village cluster in Attapeu, Laos.
The handover ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Lao People’s Army Lieutenant General Sidalor Chongtengchiaxar; Attapeu’s Deputy Governor Thanouxay Banxalith; Chief of Staff of Defense Economic Unit 385 Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Trung Son, and officials, people and workers of Attapeu province and Defense Economic Unit 385.
The projects were built at the total cost of over VND 4.1 billion which was sponsored by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense (MND).
Despite the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the defense economic unit has worked with Lao local authorities to complete the construction with good result.
Addressing the event, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Trung Son affirmed that Vietnam and Laos have a special international relations which has been nurtured throughout the history. Therefore, the support of the Vietnamese MND in repairing construction projects in Vangtat village cluster contributed to not only deepening the relations but also raising the Lao people’s living standards while enhancing defense-security potential and posture of the two countries along the borderline.
