Chien expressed sympathy for the great loss of lives and property caused by terrorists; conveyed the deepest condolences and regards from leaders of the MND, the General Staff, and the General Department of Political Affairs to Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko and to the relatives of the victims through the Ambassador.

The Vietnamese deputy defense minister expressed belief that under the drastic direction of the Government, relevant ministries, and agencies of Russia, the life of people in Moscow in particular and Russian people in general will soon return to normal. He said Vietnam's MND condemns acts of terrorism and believed that Russian law enforcement agencies will soon bring terrorists to trial.

The Vietnamese deputy defense minister writes in the funeral condolence book.

In the funeral condolence book, Gen. Chien wrote that the Vietnamese MND is extremely saddened by the deadly terrorist attack on Moscow's Crocus City Hall on March 22. The terrorist attack against innocent civilians, including many women and children, was a crime that had been condemned by the entire peace-loving world. He added that terrorists must be strictly punished according to the law.

Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko thanks the Vietnamese MND for the visit and condolences.

“We would like to express our deepest condolences to the Russian Government and people and the families of the innocent victims. We, together with all peace-loving people around the world, share those pains and losses and believe that the Russian people will overcome this difficult time and soon stabilize their life," the Vietnamese deputy defense minister wrote.
