Speaking at the event, Major General Phan Tung Son briefed the delegates on the process of building, fighting and development of the Military Logistics Academy, underlining that over the past 72 years, the academy has focused on innovating and raising the quality of education, training and scientific research, contributing to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, gradually modern military and meeting the task requirements in the new situations.
For the Lao part, Major General Buaheuang Somfongbuttakhane thanked the Vietnamese side for the warm welcome, expressing his delight at the faithful relationship between Vietnam and Laos and the rapid developments of Vietnam as well as the VPA. He took the occasion to invite the Vietnamese Military Logistics Academy to visit Laos as soon as possible.

The visit of the Lao academy is seen as a practical activity to intensify the cooperation between the two academies in 2023 and map out cooperative orientations in the next year while consolidating the winning relationship between the two academies.
Major General Buaheuang Somfongbuttakhane hoped that the Vietnamese side would promote sharing experience in management, education, training and scientific research and create favorable conditions for Lao cadets who are studying at Vietnam’s Military Logistics Academy to obtain good results.
On the occasion, the two academies inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). In addition, the Lao delegation toured the Hall of Fame, the Center for Training Operations, the lecture halls, the Research Institute of Military Logistics and Science, the library, and inquired after Lao officers studying at Vietnam’s Military Logistics Academy.
