The joint exercise is an opportunity for both sides to share experience and raise coordination ability during emergency cases at sea, contributing to helping troops to boost coordination in the field, enhance communication capabilities and the use of specialized equipment.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed and finalized the training plan, including many contents: maneuvering time, whistle signals, distance between ships during vertical and horizontal maneuvering; berthing positions, maneuvering speed, the procedure for handling emergency rescue situations, emergency situation forecasting; procedures for implementing response plans for fire, explosion, and oil spill incidents at sea; coordination in fighting and handling crimes at sea;  plan for using helicopters from the Indian Coast Guard for rescue operations; communication assurance, and number of participants, and others. 

After the event, the two sides agreed on scenarios for their joint exercise.

Forces clean the maritime environment in Kochi city.

* On the same day, in the framework of the visit, both sides joined activities to clean the maritime environment.

Brigadier General N. Ravi and Colonel Nguyen Duc Tuyen, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard Region 4 attended the event.

After the launching ceremony, the two forces, together with local people in Kochi city, clean the environment along the beach in Kochi city, contributing to raising public awareness of environmental protection.
