Vietnamese border guards present medical supplies to Cambodia’s armed forces
PANO - The Border Guard Command of Binh Phuoc province and the Vietnam Youth Federation’s Binh Phuoc provincial chapter and Youth Union Organization of Binh Phuoc province presented medical supplies to the police, gendarmerie and military forces of the Cambodian province of Kratie.
The presentation ceremony was held on May 8 at Hoa Lu International Border Gate in Binh Phuoc province.

The Vietnamese mission was led by Senior Colonel Le Da Tinh, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Binh Phuoc provincial Border Guard Command, while the delegation from the Kratie provincial armed forces was headed by Lieutenant General Sun Sophat, Director of the Police Department of Kratie province.
At the event, the two sides discussed the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in each country. They agreed to boost close coordination, further exchange information, increase patrols and monitoring to protect borders and prevent illegal immigration.
The Vietnamese side provided the Cambodian guest with 25,000 medical face masks, 100 protective suits and other necessities with a total value of nearly VND 100 million.
On behalf of the armed forces of Kratie province, General Sophat thanked the Binh Phuoc provincial Border Guard Command and other Vietnamese units for their valuable and timely support for the province to fight COVID-19.
He highlighted the close cooperation between the two sides, adding that in the coming time, they should boost their ties to control the COVID-19 pandemic and enhance their solidarity and friendship.
