The Vietnamese delegation included representatives from the Border Posts of Mu Ca, Thu Lum, Ka Lang, Pa U, Pa Ve Su, and Hua Bum under the Lai Chau provincial Border Guard Command, led by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Phan, Head of Mu Ca Border Post. The Chinese delegation consisted of eight members headed by Major Li Yingqiang, Head of the Jinping Meeting Point.

In a spirit of equality, friendship, and openness, the two sides reviewed their coordination in border management and control since the beginning of 2025, while also discussing and agreeing on orientations for future cooperation in border management.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strictly handling border-related matters in accordance with the three legal documents on the Vietnam - China land border; enhancing communication and legal education for border residents to raise awareness and compliance with border agreements; strengthening efforts to combat illegal activities in border areas; ensuring security and public order; and maintaining the current status of the borderline and the system of border markers.

The two sides also agreed to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation, effectively implement the mechanism of regular talks and bilateral patrols along the border, promote cultural and sports exchanges, and organize friendly activities on major holidays. These initiatives aim to continuously foster and consolidate the friendship between the border protection forces of both countries. Information exchange will continue to be maintained through letters and the established hotline communication channel. 

At the end of the meeting, the heads of the two delegations signed a memorandum of understanding.
