Vietnam, Russia to boost military technical cooperation
PANO - On April 20, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Deputy Defense Minister and Chairman of the Vietnam sub-committee under the Vietnam-Russian Federation Intergovernmental Committee on Military Technical Cooperation, hosted a reception for a delegation of the Russian Helicopters Corporation, led by its CEO Andrey Boginskiy, during the visit to Vietnam.
At the reception, General Truong stressed that the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership has been increasingly enhanced over the past time, especially in defense and military technical cooperation areas. Notably, the two sides also pledged to boost cooperation on helicopter technical service.

The host highly praised the outcomes of the previous meetings between the Russian delegation and relevant agencies of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense. He suggested that both sides should continue accelerating cooperation activities to effectively implement the signed agreements, contributing to augmenting and developing the bilateral defense ties in the time to come.
For his part, CEO Andrey Boginskiy agreed with the host’s proposals and reaffirmed that the two sides should promote cooperation in fields of their respective strengths.
