PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minster of National Defence, on March 2nd held talks with Dan Harel, Director General of Israel's Defence Ministry.
Welcoming the Israeli official to Vietnam, the host held the visit would contribute to strengthening the defence cooperation between the two armies.

General Vinh affirmed that Vietnam-Israel defence cooperation has been considerably developing over the past time, contributing to heightening peace and stability to each side, as well as the regional and the world so far, and that Vietnam hopes to boost the defence cooperation with Israel.
For his part, the Israeli guest thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence for the warm reception and voiced pleasure at the development of the bilateral relations, including defence cooperation.
The two sides exchanged some international and regional issues of common concern, and mapped out measures to beef up their defence cooperation in the time to come.
At the end of the meeting, they signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral defence cooperation.
