Vietnam is willing to receive more assistance from Russian experts
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang hoped that Russian experts would continue supporting Vietnam in preserving President Ho Chi Minh’s body.
The Vietnamese general expressed his hope during a reception on August 28 at the Headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense for a delegation from the Russian Federal Institute for Medical Sciences and Essential Oil Research, led by its director Sidelnikov Nikolai Ivanovich who is also an academic member of the Russian Federal Academy of Sciences.
The delegation is on a working visit to Vietnam to review the 50 years of preservation of President Ho Chi Minh’s body (1969-2019).
At the reception, General Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister, underscored that over the past five decades, Russia has given great and effective assistance in technology, personnel and training to Vietnam in preserving President Ho Chi Minh’s body and in building President Ho Chi Minh’s body.
General Giang also emphasized the bright international sentiments and time-honored relationship of the two Parties, States, Governments and people over time.
He expressed his respect and deep thanks for scientists, health personnel and technicians from the former Soviet Union and present Russia in general and especially those from the Russian Federal Institute for Medical Sciences and Essential Oil Research and Moscow Biomedical Research Center for their support given to the Vietnam People’s Army and the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command in completing President Ho Chi Minh’s body-preserving mission over a long period of time.
For his part, Academician Sidelnikov Nikolai Ivanovich stressed that Russian experts would keep on assisting the Vietnam People’s Army in general and the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command in particular in personnel training and experience sharing in order to improve the relevant Vietnamese staff’s professional competence and to apply more scientific research in reality, so that the Vietnamese command could completely master the long-term preservation of President Ho Chi Minh’s body.
The Russian academician said that this practical deed would help strengthen the two countries’ traditional friendship.
