He highly appreciated the hospital’s professional capability, noting that all of its personnel were selected from Vietnam’s leading military medical establishments. The force commander expressed his belief that Vietnam’s L2FH Rotation 7 will continue to uphold its professionalism and fulfill its mission successfully in Africa.
On the occasion, Lt. Gen. Mohan Subramanian toured the hospital’s departments, treatment areas, and working offices, and met with patients under treatment. At each stop, he praised the hospital’s orderliness, professionalism, and the strong sense of responsibility shown by its staff.

Lt. Gen. Mohan Subramanian also joined the hospital staff for a traditional Vietnamese meal. He served as India’s Defense Attaché to Vietnam from 2008 to 2012 and always had a deep affection for Vietnam’s people, history, and culture.
As part of his visit to Unity State, the force commander also attended a workshop titled “The Role and Contribution of Women in Peacekeeping Operations and the Protection of Women and Children at UNMISS.” The event was hosted by UNMISS at the Mongolian Infantry Battalion and saw the participation of female officers from Vietnam’s L2FH Rotation 7 and other units in Unity State.

At the workshop, Lt. Gen. Mohan Subramanian highly valued the contribution of female peacekeepers in their professional duties, daily life, and community activities.

Throughout the visit, professionalism, friendliness, and devotion of Vietnam’s “blue-beret” doctors and medical staff left a strong and positive impression on the UNMISS force commander.
