The event saw the attendance of Senior Colonel Le Dinh Vu, Deputy Director of the Military Science Information Center.

During the training course, 25 officers of the Lao People’s Army will be equipped with information related to environmental management, measures to surmount aftermaths of environmental pollution caused by war-left toxic chemicals, bombs and mines, and topics on military science information.

Meanwhile, the trainees will learn journalism techniques, reporting and editing, recording skills and methods of writing and publishing articles, among others.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel Le Dinh Vu stressed that the course is the basis for Lao officers to raise the quality and efficiency of military science information and environmental management, climate change response, handling environmental pollution, and overcoming consequences of war-left bombs, mines, toxic chemicals.

He also required the trainees to heighten their responsibilities to overcome difficulties while promoting information exchange to thoroughly follow the teaching contents, strictly observing regulations of the course, and ensuring absolute safety in all fields.
