Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, Commander of Military Region 4, and Colonel Khamnho Linsomphou, Commander of Division 4 under the Lao People's Armed Forces, head of the Laos delegation, co-chaired the conference.

The Vietnamese and Lao units also coordinated closely with each other to follow situational developments in areas along the shared borderline to ensure a stable order and security situation for social-economic development of each country.
Over the past time, Vietnam's Military Region 4 has assisted Lao side in building 7 groups of hamlets, trained 250 Lao military officers and provided free health checkups and medicines to 5,000 Lao people.
