Thue Thien Hue’s border guard delegation visits Salavan’s public security force

On behalf of the working delegation, Senior Colonel Pham Tung Lam expressed delight at the fruitful development of the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in general and cooperation in border management and protection and border gate control between the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command and the Public Security Department of Salavan province.

The political commissar of the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command expected that in the coming time the two provinces will continue to strengthen solidarity and friendship between the two peoples and armed forces. 

At the event, the host’s representative thanked the Vietnamese unit for regularly maintaining information exchange and working closely with the Salavan provincial Public Security Department to ensure security along the borderline and in border gates. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic time, the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command supported and provided medical equipment to Salavan’s public security force to effectively contain the pandemic. 

The same day, a delegation of the Thua Thien Hue province’s Steering Committee for Border Work, led by Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh visited and congratulated the armed forces of Sekong and Salavan provinces on the Bunpimay Festival.

On the occasion, the Thua Thien Hue province’s Steering Committee for Border Work, the provincial Border Guard Command, and the People’s Committee of A Luoi district presented gifts to and congratulated Laos’ Border Defense Companies 531 and 511 and public security units on Laos’ traditional New Year.
