During the event, General Minh shared some general information about the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense (MND)’s preparations for the 2021 Army Games. Vietnam will host two categories, namely Sniper Frontier and Emergency Area, in Vietnam.

At this point of the time, the host country has basically completed the preparation for the organization of the two events in accordance with the Army Games regulations, he added.

General Minh also affirmed that based on the outcomes of bilateral and multilateral exchanges about the contents of the 2021 Army Games, the Vietnamese side has also completed all preparations for the reception of participating foreign military teams in Vietnam.

Vietnam’s military has strong resolve to successfully host the two events of the Army Games 2021 and participate in several other events of the Army Games 2021, contributing positively to the general success of the Army Games 2021, despite the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, General Minh underlined.

Also at the event, General Minh urged the Army Games 2021’s organizing panel to soon approve the final draft of regulations for events of the 2021 Army Games and clarify several unclear points in the regulations of the categories “Sea Cup,” “Mastery Skills,” and “Safe Environment.”

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the 2021 Army Games is scheduled to take place from August 22 to September 4. This year’s program will include 34 categories and attract the participation of 227 teams from 41 countries and territories.
