Attending the send-off ceremony were Rear Admiral, Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Thanh Cong, Director of the Naval Academy, along with representatives of leadership and commanders from the academy’s affiliates.
The voyage aims to continue realizing the directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on international integration and defense diplomacy, while contributing to strengthening friendship, cooperation, mutual understanding, and trust between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Royal Thai Navy as well as the Royal Cambodian Navy, for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
Within the framework of the trip, the Vietnamese delegation will pay courtesy calls on leaders of Thailand’s Naval Region 1, commanders of Sattahip Naval Base under the Royal Thai Navy, and leaders of Ream Naval Base under the Royal Cambodian Navy. They will have sports exchange activities with partner navies; host receptions onboard; and visit several local tourist, cultural, and religious sites.
During the voyage, the delegation will also conduct at-sea training for cadets of the 67th Course of the Naval Academy to reinforce knowledge, improve practical capabilities, enhance proficiency in operating sailing ship equipment, and develop skills in handling situations when operating at sea.
Before departure, the delegation held an incense offering ceremony at the monument of Grand Duke Tran Quoc Tuan, located in Bach Dang park, Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province.
