Preparation for Vietnam - China young coast guard officers exchange checked |
After inspecting their preparations for the upcoming exchange, especially the contents and locations where the program will take place, General Kien assigned tasks to each unit and relevant forces.
He also affirmed that the exchange is considered an important mission in 2023, in which activities held in the Coast Guard Region 1 Command play a core role, contributing to the success of the program.
Therefore, General Kien emphasized that the units should soon complete some important tasks, such as grasping and raising troops’ awareness of the importance and aim of the exchange, thereby promoting the emulation movement among troops to make thorough preparations for the event. In addition, they should review contents and build plans to implement the program effectively, while closely working with units and local authorities to promptly prepare for the exchange with absolute safety.
The third Vietnam - China young coast guard officers exchange with the theme “Joining hands to protect maritime environment” is scheduled to take place in August. In the framework of the exchange, many activities will be organized, such as paying courtesy calls on leaders of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army and the Vietnam Coast Guard Command; visiting Coast Guard Region 1 and touring Coast Guard ship; planting trees; presenting gifts to people in the fishing village in Lap Le commune, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city; sharing experience in law enforcement at sea, sports exchange, and a gala night.
The event aims to enhance and deepen the sound cooperation between the two forces, making the relationship between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the China Coast Guard more practical and effective, paving the way for boosting cooperation activities at higher levels between the two sides in the time to come.
Via the program, young officers of both countries will have an opportunity to promote exchange and experience sharing in their task performance. Besides, the activities in the framework of the exchange will help both sides learn more about cultural values, customs, and historic values from each other, thereby boosting mutual trust and understanding, contributing to tightening the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two peoples and forces.
