The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Military Medical University Senior Colonel Pham Duc Tiep; Major General Sovanara, Chief of the Cambodian Military Attaché Office in Vietnam; leaders of various agencies and units within the university; and all officers and 200 Cambodian students currently studying at the university.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Military Medical University, Col. Tiep presented flowers and extended best wishes to the Cambodian officers and students studying at the university.

The Deputy Director of the Military Medical University emphasized that the Military Medical University, as a major military medical training and scientific research center, has been entrusted by the Party, the State, and the Ministry of National Defense with the mission of training international students, including those from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. Since 1964, the university has trained over 600 medical and pharmaceutical officers across various levels for the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, with the number of Cambodian students attending the university increasing annually.

In addition, the university has also provided educational materials, equipment, models, and study supplies to assist the Royal Cambodian Military Medical University in enhancing the quality of practical training. It has also sent experts to assist in revising curricula, perfecting teaching materials, managing research projects, and overseeing training.

At the event, Col. Tiep expressed delight at the achievements obtained by the Cambodian people and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces during the national construction and defense cause. The university’s leader wished the friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia to be evergreen and sustainable forever. He congratulated the Cambodian students on their academic progress and expressed confidence that they would continue to excel in their studies and complete their assigned tasks.

On this occasion, the Deputy Director of the Military Medical University encouraged the Cambodian students to fully embrace and effectively implement the training objectives, make the most of their time, focus on academic improvement, and develop professional ethics to become good medical personnel for the Cambodian military and people.

He also emphasized the importance of strictly observing Vietnamese laws and the university’s regulations and promoting solidarity to contribute to strengthening the friendship, cooperation, and unity between the two militaries and peoples.
