Addressing the meeting, Director of the hospital Major General Tran Quoc Viet affirmed the close cooperation between the two sides since 2015.
Over the past time, many experts of both sides have organized training programs, seminars, and workshops to seek cooperation opportunities. This visit of Leipzig city proved its support and sentiments towards the Vietnamese military hospital.

Major General Tran Quoc Viet noted that thanks to the support of Leipzig city’s authorities, Military Hospital 175 has established cooperation with many partners in the city, such as Leipzig Cardiovascular Center, Leipzig University Hospital Complex, and St. Georg Hospital, among others. He hoped that in the time ahead, the Vietnamese military hospital will welcome many students from the German city.
It will also act as a bridge to connect Ho Chi Minh City and Leipzig city’s medical systems, thereby tightening cooperation between the two cities, and promoting solidarity between the hospital and Leipzig city.

For his part, First Deputy Mayor of Leipzig city Torsten Bonew thanked the hospital for its warm reception, highly appreciating the development and achievements of Military Hospital 175. He also noted that both sides have developed cooperation in many fields, especially in medicine and amid the complicated developments of the pandemic.
He believed that in the coming time, the bilateral solidarity would be further enhanced in many other fields, particularly in medical technology transfer, and education and training.

During the program, both sides inked agreement to lift cooperation to a new height, paving the way for them to raise task performance, while affirming the traditional solidarity between the two countries and cities.
Besides, Military Hospital 175 and St. Georg Hospital will raise their medical personnel's quality via regular education and training courses, while beefing up cooperation in other fields.
