Lao military unit extends Tet greetings to Vietnamese border guards
PANO - A delegation of Laos’ Khammouane province, on January 4, visited and extended Tet greetings to troops of Vietnam’s Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command on the thresholds of the lunar New Year (Tet) 2023 festival.
During the visit, Colonel Bounlerth Bouphavanh, Commanding Officer of the Khammouane provincial Military Command, wished troops of Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command a new year of health, happiness, and successful task accomplishment.
He spoke highly of the remarkable achievements gained by the two forces in bilateral patrol, management and protection of national sovereignty, border security, and the fight against different kinds of crimes, to name but a few.
On the occasion, the two sides agreed to boost cooperation in the coming time. In detail, the two units will maintain information dissemination among local people and encourage them to regularly conduct bilateral patrol.
In addition, Border Protection Company 311 of the Khuammouane provincial Military Command will promote coordination with border stations of the Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command to ensure stability in the locality.
For the Vietnamese part, the Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command thanked the Lao side for their sentiments towards its officers and soldiers, hoping that the cooperation between the two sides would deepen in the time to come.
