Prior to the training, delegates attended a conference of the Defense Ministry’s Steering Committee on Vietnam’s participation in U.N. peacekeeping operations under the chair of Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh, Head of the Vietnam inter-sectorial working group for Vietnam’s participation in U.N. peacekeeping operations, and Head of the Defense Ministry’s Steering Committee on Vietnam’s participation in U.N. peacekeeping operations.

At the conference, delegates were briefed on the organization of the meeting of the Vietnamese inter-sectorial working group. The conference also reviewed the results of Vietnam’s 10-year participation in U.N. peacekeeping operations and checked the preparations for the deployment of the L2FH Rotation 3 to South Sudan to replace the L2FH Rotation 2 there.

During the training course, the hospital’s staff members were equipped with more necessary skills and knowledge when doing duty in the African country, with special attention paid to measures to prevent and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
