In particular, the unit has consistently maintained close coordination and cooperation with the border management and protection forces of neighboring China and Laos through bilateral patrols, meetings, and information-sharing mechanisms. These activities have helped promptly address difficulties and emerging issues while contributing to the joint effort to build a border of peace, friendship, stability, and development.

Speaking at the meeting, Maj. Gen. Nemoto Tsutomu expressed his appreciation for the warm reception by the host. He emphasized that the visit had reaffirmed the effectiveness of the 2026 exchange program for field-grade and company-grade officers between the two sides, hoping that defense cooperation between Vietnam and Japan would continue to be strengthened in the coming years.
