Brigadier General Ameer Muhammad Umrani, UNISFA Deputy Force Commander, praised Vietnam’s enduring spirit of independence and its rapid development, while extending congratulations to Vietnamese peacekeepers on the 80th National Day. While highly appreciating Vietnam’s contributions to global peace operations, he acknowledged Vietnamese engineers’ achievements in Abyei and their close ties with local authorities and people, saying that it has contributed to the general success of UNISFA in Abyei.
