PANO - Ship SAMRAT of the Indian Coast Guards with 140 officers and sailors on board, captained by Colonel DS Saini, arrived at Tien Sa Port, Da Nang city on October 23, starting their four-day visit to the Vietnam's central city.

The ship was welcomed by representatives of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, the Military Region 5 Command, the Da Nang Border Guard Command, and the Da Nang municipal People's Committee, and others.
During their stay, the delegation planned to pay courtesy visits to the Military Region 5 Command, the municipal People's Committee and the Vietnam Coast Guard Command as well as to work with the Coast Guard Region 2 Command.
It is the fourth visit of the Indian Coast Guard Command and the second visit of Ship SAMRAT to Vietnam.
The visit contributed to bolstering good relationship between the two countries’ coast guard forces in a bid to maintain maritime security of each country, and promote cooperation and enhance mutual understanding between the two sides.
