GS deputy chief receives delegation of Cambodian Military History Institute
PANO - On May 16, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff (GS) of the Vietnam People’s Army, hosted a reception for a delegation of the Cambodian Military History Institute, led by Deputy Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense General Meas Sina, during its visit to Vietnam.
General Tan congratulated Cambodia on successfully organizing the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32). He affirmed that Vietnam always treasures and focuses on enhancing and promoting the good relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability with Cambodia.

For his part, General Meas Sina informed General Tan on the results of the previous talks of the delegation with the Vietnam Military History Institute. Accordingly, both sides discussed important cooperation contents in the coming time, such as delegation exchange, experience sharing, personnel training, among others.

Highly appreciating the cooperation between the two institutes over the past time, General Tan affirmed that the Vietnamese GS always creates favorable conditions for them to promote their collaboration, focusing on education and training tasks, personnel training, joint research projects on military history, dissemination and education for troops and people of the two countries, especially the youths, about the importance and meaning of preserving and enhancing Vietnam - Cambodia solidarity and friendship.
