Fifth Vietnam-China border friendship exchange successfully concluded
PANO – A solemn farewell ceremony was held for the high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Defense at the Ta Lung International Border Gate (Vietnam) on November 21, marking the success of the fifth Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange.
The exchange took place from November 19 to 21 in the Vietnamese province of Cao Bang and the Chinese county of Longzhou in Chongzuo city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. These localities are historical places witnessing many memorable events of both Vietnamese and Chinese revolutions.

This year’s event covered meaningful activities such as a friendship seminar, a cultural exchange, a border marker saluting ceremony, a joint patrol, an inauguration ceremony for the Ta Lung friendship cultural center, and a joint drill in disaster relief.
The exchange was an important part of the Vietnam-China defense cooperation program, contributing to enhancing political trust and boosting cooperation in all fields, contributing to cementing the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

* Previously, Vietnamese Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich and his Chinese counterpart Senior Lieutenant General Wei Fenghe, together with other delegates of the two countries, offered incense and flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Temple and planted a memorial tree inside the special national relic site of Pac Po in Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province.
