His practical activities demonstrated Vietnam’s support and pro-active engagement in multilateral events organized by China’s Ministry of National Defense, while affirming Vietnam’s active, pro-active, responsible role in addressing international and regional issues.

During the time in China, Minister Phan Van Giang held bilateral meetings and sidelines exchanges with military leaders of several countries. He also received Major General Xu Guoan, Deputy Commander of the Shanghai Garrison, and visited the Shanghai Naval Base of the People’s Liberation Army.
