Lt. Gen. Le Duc Thai encourages troops of Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command.

The delegation included Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command Lt. Gen. Nguyen Anh Tuan, deputy chiefs of the command, representatives from its affiliates, and the Chain-of-Command of the Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command.

Having heard reports delivered by the provincial Border Guard Command’s leader and paid a fact-finding trip, Lt. Gen. Le Duc Thai acknowledged and applauded the provincial border guard force, the border protection forces of Laos and Cambodia, and officials and people of Bo Y commune, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province for their utmost efforts and achievements.

The Vietnamese border chief said that the first Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia border defense friendship exchange is an important political event holding a deep humane meaning. The exchange will help boost the relations among participating militaries, local authorities, and people of the three neighboring countries. It will also open up opportunities for them to exchange, enhance defense and border cooperation, and promote cultural exchange, economic ties, solidarity, and friendship.

He requested agencies and units assigned with tasks to continue to heighten responsibility, show high resolve, work closely with local authorities to practice, make thorough preparations to ensure the exchange a success.
