The “Vietnamese Cultural Days” in Russia has successfully concluded after an impressive performance in Yaroslav city – its third destination after Moscow and St. Petersburg.
During the week-long event, ended on June 30, both Russian friends and overseas Vietnamese in the country were feasted with Vietnamese traditional music and dance, Vovinam martial arts demonstration, Ao Dai (long dress) show and Russian songs performed by Vietnamese singers.
It also included a number of activities such as a lacquer painting exhibition, a round-table seminar on cultural cooperation between the two countries, a tourism promotion programme and a Vietnamese film week.
Jointly held by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Russia’s Ministry of Culture, it was part of the regular cultural cooperation between Vietnam and Russia, which offered a chance for people of both sides to get a deeper understanding of each other’s cultural identity and artistic beauty.
Earlier, the Vietnamese delegation headed by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism had a meeting with Yaroslav city’s leaders who highlighted the cooperation potential between the city and Vietnamese localities, especially in culture and tourism.
The two sides also discussed ways to beef up their partnership in sports and sport training.
During the past 15 years, Yaroslav city has set up ties with many Vietnamese cities and provinces, especially Da Nang city, while two-way trade between the city and Vietnam has also risen dramatically in the last 10 years.
