Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has expressed hope that Vietnam and Morocco will come up with sound policies to facilitate two-way investment and trade cooperation.
Receiving Secretary General of the Moroccan Party of Progress and Socialism Party (PPS), Mohamed Nabil Benabdallah in Hanoi on April 15, the Party leader said he believes that on the back of public support and efforts by political parties, including the PPS, the Moroccan government will reap more successes in its path of national construction and development.
Vietnam always treasures and expects to foster connections with African nations, including Morocco, the host noted.
Benabdallah voiced his wish that solidarity, friendship and traditional partnership between the two Parties and nations will go stronger.
He also invited the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) to attend the PPS’s ninth National Congress slated for this June.
Earlier, the guest held talks with head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan, during which they discussed ways to expand Vietnam - Morocco friendly relations through the exchanges of delegations and experience.
Both sides also vowed to work closely together at regional and global forums.
During their stay, the Moroccan delegation held working sessions with the National Assembly’s Committee for External Affairs, the Ministry of Construction and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration. They also toured several economic and cultural establishments in the northern province of Quang Ninh.
