The MoU, signed on March 17, was one of the specific agreements reached during the recent visit to Australia by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, which aims to deepen relations between the two countries in various fields, including education and training.
The new agreement came about after the successful implementation of the two-year cooperative programme on collegiate and intermediate-level training for Vietnamese teachers, students and administrative managers.
As stipulated in the agreement, New South Wales (NSW) will bring vocational training programmes to HCM City’s colleges and intermediate-level schools and help the southern hub build necessary tools in schooling and English language development standards.
The courses will be supported by the most advanced software available for learning English and student-exchange activities.
Additionally, the two sides plan to introduce the NSW’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses at the municipal schools.
The cooperative programmes are expected to enhance the qualifications of teaching staff and supply high-quality human resources to facilitate local socio-economic development.
