The two-year long project has an investment of EUR 520,000, including EUR 350,000 sponsoring by the Paris Wastewater Treatment Authority (SIAAP). The project includes a lake with the surface area of 2,000sq.m, a 558sq.m sedimentation reservoir, an 840sq.m filter-bed and many other assorted projects.
Once operational, the project will be helpful to avoid water pollutions at the landfill and to improve local people's life.
On March 11th, SIAAP Deputy Head Jacques Jean Paul Maritin and Hue City People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Van Thanh signed a cooperation agreement in the 2015-2017 period. Accordingly, SIAAP will offer EUR 100,000 to the city's wastewater treatment projects in 2015 and about EUR 150,000 for each following year with the focus on treating wastewater in Ngu Ha River.
