PANO - Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh hosted a reception for Pakistani Deputy Foreign Minister Amjad Hussian B.Sial on the sidelines of the first Vietnam - Pakistan political consultation on August 19th in Hanoi.

At the reception, Deputy PM Minh hailed the outcomes of the political consultation, especially the proposed initiatives to strengthen the collaboration in various areas and their common viewpoint on many international and regional issues of mutual concern.
The Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the country's consistent policy to boost relations with traditional partners including Pakistan. He also highly valued the potential of bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, science and technology, culture, etc. and hoped to promote the bilateral trade turnover in the future.

Previously, Pakistani Deputy Foreign Minister Amjad Hussian B.Sial and his Vietnamese counterpart Le Hoai Trung co-chaired the first political consultation in Hanoi following the two foreign ministries' signed agreement.
