A conference was held in southern coastal Binh Thuan province on September 12 to seek to tighten tourism connectivity between Vietnam’s central coastal, Central Highlands, and southeast regions, and northern Lao and northeastern Cambodian provinces.

Participants assessed potential of all sides in developing tourism types and products in service of the making of policies and the design of measures for the introduction of new, attractive tours connecting these localities.

Chairman of the Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee Le Tien Phuong said exclusive international integration shows close tourism cooperation is important to appropriately utilise tourism resources, bring into full play advantages of each region and locality, create competitiveness for products, and improve the capacity of travel agencies.

According to Lao Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Chaleune Warinthrasak, Vietnam’s beaches are attractive to northern Lao and northeastern Cambodian provinces, and a connectivity among the three countries’ localities promisingly creates a sustainable tourism brand name in the future.
