The Asian Development Bank will offer 500,000 USD in non-refundable aid to help Vietnam carry out a technical assistance project for the Microfinance Development Programme.
The project costs a total of 600,000 USD and will be implemented by the State Bank of Vietnam over a period of 18 months.
Under the project, ADB will assist the Vietnamese Government in deploying legal regulations on microfinance, building mechanisms to encourage the participation of credit institutions in microfinance and promote the exchange of information in this field.
