At the ceremony, Ambassador Nga congratulated Ambassador Park on successfully completing his term in Vietnam. In order to honor his positive contribution to promoting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, the VUFO President Nguyen Phuong Nga on behalf of the union presented the Korean diplomat with the insignia - the highest award of VUFO.

Reportedly, with many years of attachment and deep understanding of Vietnam, Ambassador Park has made important contribution to fostering exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two countries, from politics, diplomacy, to business, economy, culture and people-to-people exchanges.
During his three-year term in Vietnam, the two countries have successfully organized a number of high-level delegation exchanges and reached many important agreements, which are considered the basis to bring the bilateral strategic partnership into depth, substantively, and effectively.
The VUFO President hoped that Ambassador Park would further enhance the friendship between Vietnam and the RoK in his new position.
In turn, Ambassador Park expressed his gratitude to VUFO and Ambassador Nga for the close cooperation between the two sides in heightening the bilateral ties, especially in the field of people-to-people diplomacy. At the same time, he pledged to continue to contribute to the relationship between the two countries in the coming time.

According to Ambassador Park, even in the context of COVID-19, the two countries’ relations are still on a good track of development. After the pandemic is under control, Koreans are returning to Vietnam to travel, invest, and work. At the same time, the two countries are aiming to upgrade their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The Korean ambassador said that in 2022, the two countries will celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishing the bilateral diplomatic relations, an important milestone in the Vietnam-RoK cooperation and an opportunity for the two sides to further beef up their cooperation in all fields.
