Vietnamese, German parties to boost friendship
PANO – Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee's Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan and President of the parliamentary group of the Social Democratic Party of Germany Alexander Schweitzer, on November 16, co-held a teleconference between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Social Democratic Party of Germany.
During the event, Mr. Hoang Binh Quan affirmed the sound relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and political parties in Germany, contributing to promoting the bilateral strategic partnership. He also highly valued the teleconference which aimed to update the situations of the two parties and countries and deepen the solidarity between the two sides, especially on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations (September 23, 1975 - 2020) and the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership (October 11, 2011 - 2020).

Quan also briefed delegates on the national socio-economic situation and preparation work for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress and shared Vietnam’s experience in COVID-19 prevention and control as well as measures to develop the economy amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For his part, Mr. Alexander Schweitzer congratulated Vietnam on its achievements in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, while highly appreciating the relationship between the two parties, affirming it an important part in the external relations of the German party.
In addition, amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19, the two sides agreed to boost online conferences to share information and promote solidarity.
