Vietnam, Venezuela enhance trade-investment cooperation
PANO – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, on December 14 in Hanoi, received a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Felix Plasencia.

At the reception, the host affirmed that Vietnam attaches great importance to strengthening trade-investment cooperation with Venezuela, particularly in the sectors of agriculture, oil and gas, aquaculture, processing industry, production of consumer goods and construction materials.
He proposed the two countries support each other at multilateral forums and in international organizations such as the United Nations (UN), Non Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC).
For his part, the guest stressed that his country considers Vietnam a top partner in Asia, wishing to strengthen comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, and always welcomes Vietnam’s investment projects in Venezuela.
The delegation started an official visit to Vietnam from December 13 to 15 at the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and conducted the Sixth Deputy Foreign Ministerial-level Political Consultation between Vietnam and Venezuela on December 14 morning. The two sides discussed measures to strengthen relations between the two countries and the two foreign ministries, as well as exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
