Vietnam-Norway relations highlighted
PANO – Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son held a phone talk with his Norwegian counterpart Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide on June 29.
Talking about bilateral relations, the two foreign ministers expressed delight at the fruitful developments in the Vietnam-Norway relationship over the past time. Particularly, the two countries recorded more than 500 million USD in two-way trade in 2020.

The two sides also highly appreciated the two countries’ bilateral coordination at multilateral mechanisms, including the UN Security Council.
The two sides also shared common priorities, such as women issues, peace and security, climate change, mine action and civilian protection.
During the talks, the Vietnamese and Norwegian Foreign Ministers also discussed issues on the UN Security Council’s agenda, including the humanitarian situation in Syria and situation in Myanmar.
