PM Phuc lauded outcomes of talks between his guest and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and stressed his belief that the ongoing trip in Vietnam of the Moroccan legislator would open up good prospects for the partnership between the two countries’ governments and parliaments.

For his part, Habib El Malki praised Vietnam’s socio-economic achievement, adding that as both countries are investing heavily in infrastructure as a basis for economic development, there is great potential for bilateral engagement in the field.

Morocco is willing to share experience with Vietnam in sectors of its strength such as clean energy, fertilizer production, banking, and IT with Vietnam, he said.

The Moroccan legislator stated Vietnam is an important partner of his country, urging the two countries should coordinate to increase bilateral trade.

Morocco wants to increase the exchange of high-ranking delegations with Vietnam, he said, expressing his wish that PM Phuc will soon pay an official visit to his country to promote comprehensive cooperation.

PM Phuc agreed that the two sides should share experience in fields of their strength, and should act promptly to increase bilateral trade immediately next year. He said Vietnam, as a participant of various new-generation free trade agreements and an APEC member economy, can help Morocco expand its market.

The PM also suggested tourism and agriculture for bilateral cooperation.

Phuc said he will assign relevant agencies to study the potential for joint projects with Morocco, while in the immediate future, the two sides should promote exchanges between their business communities.
