Vietnam is Japan's leading important and reliable partner: Japanese ambassador
PANO - Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son host a reception for outgoing Japanese Ambassador Yamada Takio on May 8 in Hanoi.
At the event, Minister Bui Thanh Son assessed that during Ambassador Yamada Takio's tenure, the Vietnam-Japan relationship has developed well across all fields. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the sentiments, efforts, and contribution of Ambassador Yamada Takio to enhancing the friendship between the two countries. He suggested that Ambassador Yamada Takio continue to leverage his experience, understanding, and affection for Vietnam to contribute to bilateral ties in the future.

For his part, Ambassador Yamada Takio shared his pride in contributing to the strong development of bilateral relations. He affirmed that Vietnam has become Japan's leading important and reliable partner in the region regarding politics, security, economy, and human resource cooperation. He stated that upon his return to Japan, regardless of his position, he would continue to actively contribute to the development of the good and friendly cooperation between the two countries.
On this occasion, Minister Bui Thanh Son awarded the "For Vietnam's diplomatic cause" commemorative medal to Ambassador Yamada Takio to recognize his contribution to the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
