Vietnam a model in safeguarding national sovereignty: Venezuelan President
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on September 1 stressed that the Venezuelan people have always learnt from the experience of resilient nations, including Vietnam, a country that endured immense hardship to safeguard its independence, unity and sacred sovereignty.

In the face of mounting external pressure and interference, Venezuela, he said, will follow Vietnam’s spirit of staying steadfast, united and unyielding on the path chosen by its people.
Speaking at an international press conference in Caracas, attended by nearly 400 journalists, President Maduro described Vietnam as a shining example in the struggle to win and safeguard national independence and sovereignty.
He further emphasized that Venezuela is a peace-loving country but will firmly safeguard its independence, sovereignty and sustainable development.
