The diplomat said that at a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son on February 17 in Hanoi.

The Turkish ambassador stressed that it was seen as evidence of the friendship, cooperation and mutual support between the two countries in difficult times.

He affirmed that Turkey always treasures its relations with Vietnam and will do its best to lift the bilateral ties to a new height.

At the reception for the Turkish diplomat, FM Son conveyed a letter of sympathy from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

He also informed the guest about what Vietnam has been doing to help Turkey overcome the consequences of the earthquake.

The host thanked and asked Turkish authorities to continue creating favorable conditions and ensure the safety of the Vietnamese search and rescue teams and Vietnamese people living there.

He confirmed that Vietnam is willing to take part in reconstruction efforts in earthquake-hit areas in Turkey.

Also on February 17, the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey and the Vietnamese search and rescue force visited and presented gifts to a Vietnamese family in Adiyaman city.
