RoK acting President values ties with Vietnam
Acting President of the Republic of Korea Hwang Kyo-ahn said he evaluates growing strategic partnership with Vietnam while receiving Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tu, who came to present his credentials on April 24.
Congratulating the Vietnamese diplomat on his assignment, Hwang said he expects for more exchanges of delegations between the two countries, particularly in 2017 which marks 25 years of bilateral relations.

He urged both nations to work closely toward raising bilateral trade to 100 billion USD by 2020.
Ambassador Tu affirmed Vietnamese leaders lay importance to cooperation with the RoK and stressed his commitment to deepening the multifaceted ties.
He requested the Korean President and his government to continue facilitating joint projects with Vietnam in delegation exchange, trade, culture, education, people-to-people exchange.
The diplomat highlighted bilateral cooperation at international forums, particularly in organising the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders' Week and related events, and join celebration of the 25th anniversary of bilateral ties.
